Frédéric François Chopin 1810 1824 1830 1849 1851
Chopin started writing waltzes in 1824, when he was fourteen, and continued until the year of his death, 1849 ... He published eight waltzes in his lifetime. A further five were published with posthumous opus numbers in the decade following his death, and since then a further seven have been published, without opus numbers (of these, two are considered doubtful. This brings the total to eighteen canonic waltzes, although often these are not numbered past the first fourteen). The Waltz in E minor was composed circa 1830 and published in May 1851. It was the first of Chopin's posthumously published waltzes not to be given an opus number. It appears in Brown's catalogue as B. 56, in Kobylańska's catalogue as KK IVa/15, and in Chomiński's as P1/15. It was composed shortly before Chopin left Poland at the age of 20. Although this is the final (fourteenth) waltz in the older editions of Chopin (other waltzes being included in more recent editions), it is believed to have been composed before any of the waltzes published in Chopin's lifetime. Frédéric Chopin 1824 1830 1849
Chopin started writing waltzes in 1824 at the age of fourteen and continued until the year of his death, 1849.The Waltz in E minor was composed in circa 1830(at the age of twenty shortly before he left his native Poland for Vienna)and published in May 1851and was the first of Chopin's posthumously published waltzes not to be given an opus number. A dreamy, lyrical tune along with an uncertainty and despair ending on a dramatic note, Chopin's waltz's seem more of poems rather than pieces made for dancing. As he himself said quite humorously: "I don't have what it takes to write Viennese waltzes...!” No wonder his impact had been mesmeric. P.S. Thankyou for watching my previous video, I hope you liked it. Meanwhile here's my daughter Chandrima's practice sessions at home. Thankyou
