Mahler Marko Letonja Bruno Walter
Marko Letonja dirige un extrait de la Symphonie n°3 en ré mineur de Mahler lors du concert de présentation de saison [19/20]. Avec cette Symphonie n°3, « inutile de regarder le paysage », déclarait le compositeur à son ami Bruno Walter : « il a passé tout entier » dans l’oeuvre. Ses six mouvements restituent une nature habitée par l’homme, où l’irruption soudaine du cortège de Bacchus renvoie à l’insouciance ressentie à l’évocation d’une végétation parfois luxuriante. Très éloignée de l’image attachée au compositeur, cette page est un éclatant coin de ciel bleu dans son corpus sombre. Sont convoqués les plaines et les forêts, les animaux et les hommes, dans une immense fresque sur laquelle plane l’ombre d’Ainsi parlait Zarathoustra de Nietzsche.
