Text: Volker Tarnow

???????????? ????????????/????????????-????????????: (http•••) ???????????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ????????????????????: (http•••) Inspired by hearing performances of Handel’s oratorios during his visits to London, Haydn composed Die Schöpfung (‘The Creation’) in 1798. Through a series of accompanied recitatives, arias, duets and choruses, the music depicts the creation of the universe and the carefree existence of Adam and Eve. Haydn drew on the full complement of his symphonic and vocal prowess which reach peaks of almost operatic intensity. With rich harmonies and sonic magnificence in abundance, Die Schöpfung represents the apex of the Viennese oratorio tradition. It’s a monumental composition with orchestrations of superlative richness in which Haydn combines the splendour of classicism with the majesty of sacred music. Large chorus, momentum, powerful and refined music accompany the listener through the various phases of the biblical Creation, from the explosion of the first light to the marvelous air of the creation of man. To quote Alexander Pereira, Superintendent of Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino “'The Creation conveys a meaning that reaches all the religions of the world equally, and that is why we decided to propose this dmarvelous masterpiece by Haydn for all our public, as a sign of unity between all; it is a very important message in this period". ‘Zubin Mehta left his signature mark in terms of sound cleanness and clarity, equilibrium in the dynamics and accompaniments, delivering an energetic yet solemn performance, perhaps one of his best conducting in Florence of the recent years.’ – Opera Click Recording place: Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Recording date: November 10th, 2020 Category: Sacred Music / Concert - Sung in German Available in DVD(37909)/ Blu.ray(57909) and CD(CDS7902.02) Conductor: Zubin Mehta Orchestra: Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Chorus Master: Lorenzo Fratini Theater: Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Video Director: Tiziano Mancini CAST Hanna-Elisabeth Müller Gabriel/Eva, soprano Maximilian Schmitt Uriel, tenor Michael Volle Raphael/Adam, baritone Veta Pilipenko mezzo-soprano ► Subscribe to Dynamic YOUTUBE Channel: (http•••) ► Follow Dynamic FACEBOOK Page: (http•••) ► Follow Dynamic on INSTAGRAM:(http•••) ► Learn more about Dynamic: (http•••)
