New Palace Opera’s cast for A Kind Man includes Gerrit Paul Groen as Tommy Carr, Rebecca Afonwy-Jones as his wife Eve, with Lizzie Holmes, Nicholas Morris, Zoe South and Kieran White. The orchestra is the London Concertante, conducted by the composer. The production is directed by Paul Higgins, with costumes, designs and lighting by Harry Pizzey and Ali Hunter. Performances are at Hoxton Hall 7, 8, 10 & 12 June 2022, further details from the Hoxton Hall website.

The Secret Garden Faced last Summer with the cancellation of all indoor concerts, cellist Chris Grist (founder and artistic director of London Concertante) opened up his garden and arranged a series of outdoor concerts. The experimental series of five concerts became nine sold-out events, performed by members of London Concertante as well as guests including a jazz trio and a comedy troupe, along with a bar and a fine food menu.The Secret Garden is returning again this Summer with 15 events from 30 July to 12 September 2021, with events which mix classical concerts with theatre, comedy and jazz.
