Northwest Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Kim Diehnelt and featuring cellist Jack Boettcher, presents a concert of "Souvenirs," featuring music that brings to mind cherished stories of other times and places. The concert will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 14, in the auditorium of the Forest View Education Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra will present "Distant Lands," a concert with music that evokes the flavors of eastern and central Europe and Eurasia, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Forest View Education Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. The orchestra will be under the direction of Conductor Kim Diehnelt and feature soloist cellist Kyra Saltman.

Northwest Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the first concert in its 2014-2015 season. The concert will open with the Prelude to Act III from Richard Wagner's Lohengrin, followed by The Holy City by Armenian-American composer Alan Hovhaness, one of the most prolific and well known composers of the 20th century, who lived in the greater Seattle area from the 1970s until his death in 2000, and who was profoundly influenced by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
