FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN - QUARTETS OP. 33, 42 & 54 Párkányi String QuartetIstván Párkányi, violin Heinz Oberdorfer, violin Ferdinand Erblich, viola Michael Müller, cello The Orlando Quartet was formed in 1976. After the leader, István Párkányi, left in 1985, the Orlando journeyed on without him until 1997. In 1998 three original members were joined by cellist Michael Müller to form the Párkányi String Quartet. So they're not in step with the period instrument movement: they simply make great music together! The Op. 54 disc was recorded in Prague on 17-19 May, 2010.
