When Opera Stars Actually Have Chemistry Onstage (It's A Bit Rare)

This summer, I have been semi-attempting to cross things off of my “I Need to Do That List.” It’s not a formal list I actually have written down, but I’ve always been meaning to read more of the “classics” (I finished 1984, Animal Farm, The House on Mango Street and currently have A Portrait of the Artist of a Young Man on my bookshelf) or actually do the things I find on Pinterest (Zucchini pizza slices, anyone?). Another item is to actually listen to classical music. I would assume that I have listened to more classical music than the average adult since I am a pianist and majored in music education. But, now that school is over, and for realz over unless I decide to go to grad school, I’ve really had to motivate myself to keep practicing piano and listening to classical/baroque/romantic/whatever music. Kama - Traditional meets Orchestral
Happy Easter! Canada’s National Volunteer Week was April 6th-12th, and courtesy of that, I received free tickets to Roy Thomson Hall for a Friday evening concert. It’s not the first time I’ve been to the renowned concert hall at the heart of downtown Toronto’s entertainment district. The last time was two years ago when I went with a friend to listen to a concert. This time I took the opportunity to have a night-out with my girlfriend. Since the concert was at 7:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:45 pm that evening, I made reservations for a nice candlelight dinner. Interestingly enough the friend who brought me to my first taste of classical orchestra is vegetarian, and this time, because of Lent, I was the one who was.
