Infinite Variety: Le Nozze di Figaro at Opera San José
[…] servants and nobility in Nozze would have been dressed and would have behaved toward one another, especially with the leveling effect of Mozart's great score. But these differences are critical to the plot, because class conflict and the privileges of the nobility are right at the heart of the opera.
