The year 1837 in classical music and in lyrical art
1837. With other artists, Gaetano Donizetti, Niccolò Paganini and Robert Schumann influenced their time (romantic era). That year would see the birth of future classical or lyrical artists, such as Mily Balakirev, while others would disappear. That year, new works would be composed, published or performed for the first time in public, such as “Rienzi” de Richard Wagner, for example.
