The year 1900 in classical music and in lyrical art
1900. With other artists, Claude Debussy, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Gustav Mahler influenced their time (romantic era / modern & contemporary era). That year would see the birth of future classical or lyrical artists, such as Aaron Copland, while others would disappear. That year, new works would be composed, published or performed for the first time in public, such as “Tosca” de Giacomo Puccini, for example. That year, halls or orchestras would be founded or ceased to operate.
