The year 1906 in classical music and in lyrical art
1906. With other artists, Gustav Mahler, Edvard Grieg and Erik Satie influenced their time (romantic era / modern & contemporary era). That year would see the birth of future classical or lyrical artists, such as Dmitri Shostakovich, while others would disappear. That year, new works would be composed, published or performed for the first time in public, such as “Symphony No. 6 in A minor, “Tragische Sinfonie”” de Gustav Mahler, for example.
