1963. With other artists, Dmitri Shostakovich, Igor Stravinsky and Olivier Messiaen influenced their time (modern & contemporary era). That year would see the birth of future classical or lyrical artists, while others would disappear such as Paul Hindemith. That year, new works would be composed, published or performed for the first time in public, such as “Cello Symphony, Op. 68” de Benjamin Britten, for example. That year, halls or orchestras would be founded or ceased to operate.
