The year 1971 in classical music and in lyrical art
1971. With other artists, Igor Stravinsky, Aram Khachaturian and Dmitri Shostakovich influenced their time (modern & contemporary era). That year would see the birth of future classical or lyrical artists, such as Anna Netrebko, while others would disappear. That year, new works would be composed, published or performed for the first time in public, such as “Symphony No. 15 in A major, Op. 141” de Francis Poulenc, for example. That year, halls or orchestras would be founded or ceased to operate.
