The year 2003 in classical music and in lyrical art
2003. With other artists, Pierre Boulez, Mikis Theodorakis and Mstislav Rostropovich influenced their time (modern & contemporary era). That year would see the birth of future classical or lyrical artists, while others would disappear such as Luciano Berio. That year, new works would be composed, published or performed for the first time in public, such as “Sunday, Opp. 75-80” de Karlheinz Stockhausen, for example. That year, halls or orchestras would be founded or ceased to operate.
