Al inicio, se guardó un minuto de silencio y después de eso Alethia Lozano, flautista principal de la OFUNAM, interpretó el tema del segundo movimiento de la obra «Flying solo» para flauta sola, del compositor mexicano Arturo Rodríguez. La obra está dedicada a Alethia Lozano y fue compuesta durante la pandemia. En palabras del compositor «es un aria dulce y evocativa que captura el estado de remembranza y reflexión al que nos vimos sujetos durante esos tiempos difíciles.» Nacido en Cuba, Iván del Prado comenzó sus estudios musicales a muy temprana edad en Holguín, su ciudad natal. Graduado de violín y viola, cursó estudios superiores de dirección orquestal en el Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana, donde obtuvo los mayores honores académicos. Del Prado es actualmente director musical y artístico de la Orquesta Filarmónica del Estado de Chihuahua y director artístico y musical de la Orquesta Juvenil de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Mobile en Alabama, Estados Unidos. Ha sido director titular de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Cuba, la Orquesta del Gran Teatro de La Habana y la Orquesta de Baja California, y fundó la Orquesta de Cámara de La Habana. Ha dirigido orquestas de Estados Unidos, América Latina y países de Europa y Asia. Recibió la Distinción por la Cultura Nacional, uno de los más altos honores conferidos a personalidades del mundo cultural en Cuba. Great performance of Martín Palmeri ft. Lupe Larzabal (Alto)/Aphrodite Patoulidou (Soprano) and the Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester Köln at Ev. Trinity Church in Bonn, Germany. Martin Palmeri, born in Buenos Aires in 1965, is a composer, pianist, choirmaster and orchestra conductor. Palmeri has written numerous choral and instrumental works and operas, among which are “Tango del Bicentenario (Bicentenary Tango)“, first performed by the Qatar Symphony Orchestra; “Canto de la lejanía (Song of Distance)“, premiered in 2010 by the Buenos Aires choral society; “Oratorio de Navidad (Christmas Oratorio)“ first performed at the Faculty of Law UBA (2003); “Mateo“, an opera which opened in the Teatro Roma in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires (1999) and was recorded by the State Radio of Bratislava (Slovakia); In recent years he has been invited to direct and perform as pianist in the performance of his work “Misatango“, (first performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba in 1996) in Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Slovakia, Spain, the Netherlands, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Switzerland and the USA. Further information: (http•••) Lupe Guadalupe Larzabal, born in Buenos Aires (Argentina), she first studied music education at the conservatory of Buenos Aires. She began her vocal coaching in Jazz and South-American folk music, after that she continued her studies within the classical genres opera, oratorio and chamber music under the supervision of Professor Marta Blanco. Furthermore, she practiced music theory and composition with professors Maria del Carmen and Jose Luis Larzabal, both experienced coaches. Guadalupe Larzabal was member of several ensembles and choirs in jazz and South-American folk music and performed in numerous concerts in Buenos Aires. In classical music, oratorio and chamber music she performed as a soloist in the Scalade San Telmo, in the Teatro Avenida and on several other Concert Halls in Buenos Aires. Further information: (http•••) Aphrodite Patoulidou embarked on an international career as a member of the Equilibrium Young Artists Initiative by Barbara Hannigan, and as a Guest of Sasha Waltz. She has appeared in theaters such as Staatsoper Berlin, La Monnaie, Teatro Real Madrid, Greek National Opera; in concert halls such as Gothenburg’s, Snape Maltings, Bruges Concertgebouw and festivals such as the Ojai Music Festival in California, Flanders Festival, La Monnaie Sleepover, and at many festivals in Greece. Her interpretations of Anne Trulove (The Rake’s Progress), Elle (La Voix Humaine), Belinda (Dido & Aeneas), Sophie Scholl (Weisse Rose) and Claude Vivier’s Lonely Child have been praised by the international press. Apart from opera, she also engages in concert work, lieder programs and body/voice improvisations. From 1974 to 1981, he studied bandoneon with Julian Gaio, Domingo Mattio and perfected with Nestor Marconi. Gilberto Pereyra is engaged as a soloist for concerts and recordings by numerous ensembles and orchestras that lead him to perform in the countries of Europe, America and Asia.
