March (written 1858 maybe for piano or maybe not), later salvaged from the failed "Mlada", which was initially conceived as a ballet (1870, by Russian Imperial Theatre director Gedeonov), and later reconceived as an opera-ballet (1872, with libretto by Viktor Krïlov) and was to have been co-composed by Mussorgsky with Rimsky-Korsakov, Borodin, Cui (the opera) and Minkus (the ballet), and expanded by Mussorgsky (1880) then orchestrated by Rimsky-Korsakov (1883) for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, timpani, and strings, USSR State Academic Symphony Orchestra Yevgeni Svetlanov
