Completed in 2007, Masquerade is a programmatic work that reflects the dramatic conventions of Commedia dell'arte. The two solo instruments represent young lovers who are split apart and eventually reunited at a later stage of life. Pan, the first movement from Benjamin Britten's "Six Metamorphoses after Ovid", originally written for oboe solo.
