It was premiered in Leningrad by the Beethoven Quartet on 15 May 1960. It consists of three movements, performed without a break: Allegretto - 0:00 Lento - 3:41 Allegro - Allegretto - [Adagio] - 6:30 (Live recordings from the ASPEN MUSIC FESTIVAL)
