World Premiere Recording of the Beethoven´s Master Piece Sonata no.3 Opus 69 on a Violoncello da Spalla accompanying the Erard Piano. Exactly, not accompanied by. Classical period followed the baroque epoch and there might have been some crossings, so a musician with an "old-fashioned" instrument could end up playing a classical piece. Also the leading role of the keyboard instrument in this work is nowadays hardly possible to highlight because of the instrument evolution. Here is a completely new perception, not a historically proven one, but informed and open to new approach, as much from the interpret´s point of view as from the listener´s. Published between 1797 and 1817, they cover a large part of the composer's creative period and reflect important stations in his musical evolution. Beethoven is considered to have been the creator of the sonata for cello and piano, since neither Mozart nor Haydn had composed one. His five sonatas are, so to speak, the first important works for this formation that not only include a fully written piano part, but also inaugurate the era of the romantic sonata, including vast Adagio introductions. From then on, it is in the cello sonatas that one observes the freedom with which Beethoven treats the sonata as a form: note, for example, that only the 5th and last sonata has a true slow movement in its expected place, while in the 2nd and 4th sonatas the slow introduction is more than a mere preamble, but a movement in its own right, in its own key, further asserting the dramatic intentions of each work. *Click to activate the English subtitles for the complete presentation* (00:00-03:35) Beethoven - Sonatas Op.109,110,111 + Presentation (Century's recording : Sviatoslav Richter 1963): (http•••) Ludwig Van Beethoven PLAYLIST (reference recordings): (http•••)
