Adolf Ruthardt Bach Hugo Wolf 1849 1883 1934
Phillip Sear plays an 1883 song without words by the German composer and pianist Adolf Ruthardt +••.••(...)). / The German composer and pianist Adolf Ruthardt +••.••(...)) is remembered today mainly as an editor of piano works by Bach and others. He was born in, and died in Stuttgart, and studied at the conservatory there, but later lived and worked in Geneva and Leipzig, where he was a professor at the conservatory for many years. His piano works are well worth looking at, and he seems to have been most inspired as a composer of etudes, and also pieces inspired by Bach (eg., his 15 Preludes Op. 42). This beautiful piece - particularly in its introduction and interludes - reminds me of Hugo Wolf. / Played by Phillip Sear (http•••) (Email: •••@••• WhatsApp: (http•••) )

The set from which this comes is similar in scope to the popular Moszkowski Op. 72 set of studies, and deserves to be played more! Edvard Grieg Peters Adolf Ruthardt 1896 1897
Edvard Grieg wrote this famous piano piece to celebrate his 25 year wedding anniversary with his wife Nina. Henrik Kilhamn goes through the music to find out how it feels so optimistic and full of energy, and the middle section so nostalgic and sensual. 0:00 About 0:57 March 4:54 Build-up 8:24 Love duet 12:21 March return 13:42 Coda 15:16 Performance Grieg playlist: (http•••) ️ PATREON: (http•••) WEBSITE: (http•••) ️ EASY ARRANGEMENTS (http•••) -15% DISCOUNT Code: "secretseeker" Sample videos: (http•••) / Edvard Grieg: "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen" ("Bryllupsdag på Troldhaugen"), from Lyric pieces book VIII, Op. 65 no. 6 (1896) Score: Peters edition, ca 1897, editor: Adolf Ruthardt, (http•••) Emoji artwork provided by JoyPixels, (http•••)
