Bogdana Stritar Dua Mula 1942 1943
English : Hey, Brigades, a Slovenian partisan song, in the style of marches, which was often used as the unofficial anthem of Slovenian partisans. There are two versions, which differ in the two verses and the last stanza. The words of the song were written at the end of October 1942 by Matej Bor, who left the partisans for temporary work and treatment in Ljubljana and lived with the Vovk family in Svetosavska Street in Bežigrad. He said about the origin of the text: The motif arose spontaneously, rather than melodies than words, first rhythm. When I heard the partisan machine guns echoing around Ljubljana, mostly from the Polhov Gradec Dolomites, everything reminded me of the forests ... in other words, of freedom, which was there despite all the difficulties, and it was not in Ljubljana. Bor begged the composer Franc Šturm to finally set the song to music, so it was set to music in April 1943. The song was first performed by Bogdana Stritar in September 1943 near Stari Žag in Dolenjska. After the first performance, it was not a great success, but with some fixes to the melody, it became a success. The original recording has not been preserved because Franz Sturm fell in the Crimea on November 11, 1943. The melody was remembered by Bogdana Stritar, and re-recorded by Radoslav Hrovatin. After some time, the song was prepared for the men's choir by Karol Pahor. This video is equipped with Croatian, English and Indonesian lyrics This content is only historical education.
