Barber Rossini Tulsa Opera 2017
** Staying Alive: (http•••)/ Today’s Staying Alive video features bass Önay Köse singing “La calunnia è un venticello” from Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. He is accompanied by Lyndon Meyer on the piano. This aria is from Act I of The Barber of Seville. Doctor Bartolo is suspicious about a poor student, Lindoro, who has captured Rosina’s heart. Rosina’s music teacher, Basilio, advises the doctor to create false rumors about Lindoro in order to discredit him. Köse was last seen on the Tulsa Opera stage in our 2017 production of Faust, where he made his role debut as Mephistopheles. If you would like to support Tulsa Opera, please donate today.
