Jedynie w zakończeniu utworu wprowadził odmianę: nagły wybuch ekspresji prowadzący ku lapidarnej apoteozie – równie nagle urwanej i uciszonej. Większość tych, którzy sięgali po pióro, by wyrazić słowami swoje wrażenia w zetknięciu z Nokturnem Es–dur używali określeń superlatywnych. Jachimecki słyszał w nim „delikatne myśli zachwycające wdziękiem i słodyczą”. Tadeusz Zieliński „czarującą śpiewność” i „szczególną płynność melodii”. Lenz wspomina czasy, gdy brał u Chopina lekcje. „Najwięcej dręczyłem go – powiada – znanym Nokturnem Es–dur z op. 9. Był on wtedy w modzie...” Liszt umie grać go równie dobrze” – przerwał mi Chopin. I uparł się, i nie chciał zagrać. Lecz wpisał mi w nutach pewne drobne dziwnie piękne warianty. Nuty jego były drobniusieńkie, a przecież wyraźne i czytelne”. Wyjątkowa popularność Nokturnu Es–dur przejawiła się w sposób szczególny: poprzez transkrypcje. Ich ilość bije rekordy, idzie w dziesiątki. Najczęściej melodię Nokturnu powierzano skrzypcom, zaś pierwszej transkrypcji, jeszcze za życia Chopina, dokonał Karol Lipiński. [(http•••)

F. Chopin, nocturne in C minor, Op. 48 no. 1 | Ф. (http•••) / The Nocturne in C minor, Op. 48, No. 1 is initially marked lento and is in 4/4 meter. In general, the scheme of the music is ternary form and follows A-B-A'. The piece becomes poco più lento at measure 25 and enters its middle section, which is a chorale in C major. Later, it moves to a technically demanding doppio movimento agitato at measure 49 which features fortissimo octave passages and double octave arpeggios. Finally, the piece ends with a reprise of the initial melody with extremely fast chordal accompaniment The piece is a total of 77 measures long. The Nocturne in C minor is one of the more well known nocturnes, and has been categorized as one of Chopin's greatest emotional achievements. Theodor Kullak said of the piece, "the design and poetic contents of this nocturne make it the most important one that Chopin created; the chief subject is a masterly expression of a great powerful grief." Jan Kleczyński Sr. calls the nocturne "broad and most imposing with its powerful intermediate movement, a thorough departure from the nocturne style." Some musical critics, including Charles Willeby and Frederick Niecks, do not think the piece deserves its fame and position; though James Huneker agrees with this assessment, he notes that the nocturne is still "the noblest nocturne of them all." James Friskin found the music to have "the most imposing instrumental effect of any of the nocturnes," calling the crescendo and octaves "almost Lisztian." Jim Samson notes that the nocturne intensifies "not through ornamentation, but through a new textural background."Kleczyński commented that the middle section "is the tale of a still greater grief told in an agitated recitando; celestial harps come to bring one ray of hope, which is powerless in its endeavor to calm the wounded soul, which...sends forth to heaven a cry of deepest anguish."The ending, according to Samson, is "in the nature of an elaborated 'feminine ending', articulating the reactive final beat of an amphibrach grouping."

Frédéric François Chopin (/ˈʃoʊpæn/; French pronunciation: [fʁe.de.ʁik fʁɑ̃.swa ʃɔ.pɛ̃]; 1 March 1810 – 17 October 1849), born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin, was a Polish composer and a virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era, who wrote primarily for the solo piano. He gained and has maintained renown worldwide as one of the leading musicians of his era, whose "poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation."Chopin was born in what was then the Duchy of Warsaw, and grew up in Warsaw, which after 1815 became part of Congress Poland. A child prodigy, he completed his musical education and composed his earlier works in Warsaw before leaving Poland at the age of 20, less than a month before the outbreak of the November 1830 Uprising. Frédéric Chopin wrote his Nocturnes, Op. 9, from 1830 to 1832, the year when they were published. They are dedicated to Madame Camille Pleyel, and since their first edition, they have become obligatory repertoire items for pianists. The Nocturne no. 1 in B flat minor, marked larghetto, features a rhythmically free right-hand melody, something that would be characteristic of Chopin's later style. This nocturne has a rhythmic freedom that came to characterize Chopin's later work. The left hand has an unbroken sequence of eighth notes in simple arpeggios throughout the entire piece, while the right-hand moves with freedom in patterns of seven, eleven, twenty, and twenty-two notes. The opening section moves into a contrasting middle section, which flows back to the opening material in a transitional passage where the melody floats above seventeen consecutive bars of D-flat major chords. The reprise of the first section grows out of this, followed by a Picardy third ending. The Nocturne in B flat minor emerges from silence and to silence returns. It has the form of an ample song in which a graceful melody fills the outer sections. At first, it rolls along quietly, enlivened by surging waves of ornaments. An inner tension leads to a climax, to a sudden rush of appassionato expression, enclosed within a handful of bars. The Nocturne’s middle section proceeds in the relative key of D flat major. This takes us into a strange other world: a melody without ornaments, almost ascetic and strong, led in octaves sotto voce, and so softened, repeating the same phrases over and over again. In those phrases, one can detect the rhythms of a mazurka and a motif from the old song ‘Chmiel’ [Hops]. The whole thing flows along as if in a trance or in great meditation. But then a sudden change occurs: we hear sonorous music built from sequences of sixths and thirds, immediately followed by its distant echo. Next, the graceful melody from the beginning returns dolcissimo, before bursting into a final flourish and dying away in ppp, though not in the key of B flat minor, but in B flat major. Chopin would employ an optimistic major-mode ending for works adhering to a minor key – a practice taken from Bach – many times in his later works. Here is how Jan Kleczyński – a pupil of Marcelina Czartoryska, herself a pupil of Chopin – couched his impressions of the Nocturne in B flat minor: ‘Yearning, peculiarly combined with an elegance of form’. And Józef Sikorski probably had this nocturne in mind when writing: ‘the listener drawn into these magical dreamlands wonders instinctively after the last notes have died away if it all was reverie or reality’. #nocturne #op9 #chopin Impromptu is a channel for all lovers of piano music.
