Jacob George +••.••(...)) Prise de voile, Sandro Carnelos all’organo Zeni (2011) del Tempio Votivo di Ponte della Priula (TV) 2019. Jacob George (19 August 1877 - 28 December 1950) was a French organist, improviser and composer. Born in Paris, Georges Paul made his first musical studies at the École Niedermeyer de Paris. After he joined the Conservatoire de Paris in 1896, he won a First prize in organ in 1900, in Alexandre Guilmant's class. From 1892 to 1912, G. Jacob gave organ recitals, which were very well attended at the Schola Cantorum de Paris. His aim was to bring out the best of both ancient and modern works of organ literature. As a composer, he has already written and published many works. In addition, he began publishing, with an explanatory commentary, the great works for organ of J.-S. Bach. From 1902 to 1914, he was a piano teacher at the Schola Cantorum. Organist and Kapellmeister of Notre-Dame-de-la-Gare [fr] from 1897 to 1903, organist of the great organ of the Église Saint-Louis-d'Antin [fr] from 1903 to 1906, he then held the position of organist and Kapellmeister of the Église Saint-Ferdinand-des-Ternes [fr], from 1907 to his death in 1950. In 1922, he succeeded Joseph Bonnet as organist of the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire. Georges Jacob died in Paris on 28 December 1950 and was buried in the Père Lachaise Cemetery (2nd division).

ELECTA UT SOL Invocation no. 5 by Henri DALLIER is also another example of a composition that doesn't get the attention the work deserves. This is in my opinion a real masterpiece in organ literature. INVOCATION No. 5 is an enrichment for organ literature. The theme appears in the bass. Halfway through, a second theme appears in a contrasting atmosphere. Extraordinarily beautiful chords always frame the solo phrases. A composition that, I think, screams for attention and appreciation. I am delighted to be able to present this beautiful composition via YouTube performed on a famous and fantastic sounding organ, the largest preserved organ of the Gebr. Ibach, which is eminently suitable for the sound of this true show jewel. HENRI DALLIER (Reims1849-Paris1934) becomes an organist in his hometown Reims for the choir organ in the cathedral where Jules Grison is the principal organist. 1867 Henri Dallier composes his first organ sonata. 1870 His application for the Prix de Rome was rejected. 1872 Orgellesson with César Franck and composition lesson with François Bazin at Conservatoire de Paris. I878 Registration for the Prix de Rome for the fourth time; Dallier now receives an honorable mention. The Conservatoire de Paris. Awards Dallier the first prize for organ playing. 1875-1905 Organist Saint-Eustache in Paris 1880 Dallier married the daughter of the novelist Lucien Biart in Paris. 1889 Dallier is allowed to perform at the 1889 World's Fair at the Palais du Trocadéro, 1895 Camille Saint-Saëns dedicates his third Prelude et fugue to Dallier. 1898 Dallier wins the Chartier Prize of the Académie des beaux-arts for his Trio avec piano. 1905 Organist of the Madeleine, succeeding Gabriel Fauré. 1908-1928 Professor of harmony at the Conservatoire de Paris and at the École Niedermeyer. he is the teacher of Joseph Noyon. 1921 Plays during the funeral of Camille Saint-Saëns in 1921. 1924 same with Gabriel Fauré. 1928 Return to his birthplace Reims where Daller is allowed to use the organ of the Hôtel de Ville.
