Our Amazing host SHAY performs City of night from the film La La Land with Stefano Marzanni on piano. STEFANO MARZANNI has performed regularly across Europe and he received his Master in piano performance from the Royal College of Music, studying under Dina Parakhina. His studies were generously supported by a Kenneth and Violet Scott Award and the Pidem Foundation Award. Stefano performs regularly as a pop and jazz pianist, and began his jazz studies with Roberto Soggetti in 2007. In 2008 he attended the prestigious summer jazz workshops in Siena, Italy, studying with internationally renowned jazz pianists Paolo Birro and Stefano Battaglia. In 2012, Stefano won a scholarship and was invited to study pop song composition at the Centro Europeo di Toscolano (CET), the prestigious school headed by the Italian songwriter Mogol. In July 2016 he attended the “Loire Music Jazz Master” under the guidance of Barry Green, professor at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama.As a classical pianist, Stefano has performed at numerous venues and festivals including Sala Verdi and Sala Puccini in the Conservatorio di Milano, Milano Classica, Castel Vecchio Circolo degli Ufficiali in Verona, the X Giornate Festival in Brescia, and the Main Hall of the Universita’ Statale di Milano. Stefano has attended masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians such as Leonid Margarius, Filippo Gamba, Natalia Trull, Riccardo Risaliti, Cristiano Burato, Riccardo Zadra. Stefano has also performed regularly in theatrical productions, including ‘Parfumul Strazilor’, where he improvised with actress Sandra Mangini in theatre festivals including LMA,Lido Music Agosto in Venice, Forum Altenberg in Bern, Scene di Paglia Festival in Padova and the theatre of Ca Foscari University in Venice. Most recently, Stefano produced and presented two theatrical shows “Paris Mon Amour” and “Vienna laboratory of the end of the world”, with the singer Elena Lorenzi.
