Saint Saens Garner Hirsch 2010
The Really Terrible Orchestra Of the Triangle (RTOOT) makes a valiant effort to play Saint-Saens "Marche Heroique". It was performed on December 14, 2010 during their Really Terrible Holiday Concert at Garner Historic Auditorium in Garner, North Carolina. The performance is preceded by a magnificent prologue by cellist, Bill Hirsch, who presents a rousing discourse on super heroes and finally, fittingly, dramatically introduces guest conductor "Super My Stroh". Many kudos to you if you can listen any more than a minute beyond the surprising and shocking appearance of "Super My Stroh", which is, in some circles, considered to be the finest moment of the concert ...
