In this video I begin a 3 part series on ways to preserve your wealth. As a consumer there are many pitfalls that we face. We are often victims of poor service and faulty processes that leaves us shortchanged of what we deserve.. This video explores being a victim of poor service and deception and offers a simple but often hard solution of being aware of what bad things could be happening as a consumer and standing up for oneself to avoid being damaged and compromised. . It takes vigilance, time and persistence to do so to insure that you are treated fairly.
Part 35 in a continuing video series where I talk about life. I present here a non-investment topic before we start a slew of upcoming investment topics. Today's topic is on Loyalty. Loyalty is an attribute that I have always admired in people. Relationships are complicated and when we have them loyalty is state that we tend to look for in our relationships. But indeed there are no loyalty rules and standards, so we are left to our own devices and analysis to figure out the loyalty quotient in our relationships. We will at times over or underestimate the loyalty in our relationships and that makes life difficult. The purpose of this video is to shed some light on the loyalty issue and help you deal better with it.
This is by the mysterious author of the still-popular 'Le Lac de Côme' (Lake Como), 6th Nocturne, which I have also recorded for YouTube. I had thought he/she was Italian, but having seen discussions on the subject on a piano forum, I think that the author - often spelt as 'Galas' - was French, and quite possibly female, and had died by 1924 - certainly pieces published in 1924 are marked 'in memoriam'. It is quite likely - thought not certain - that the author is the person described on this website: (http•••) - the only argument against that being the publisher Gregh's spelling of her name as 'Galas', and describing pieces published in 1926 as new. Certainly, her work covers a long period - ranging from early works from the 1850s to pieces such as this one which are in a decidedly turn-of-the century style. Galos's pieces are composed of stock salon music techniques and gestures. However, they succeed where so much similar music has been forgotten because they lie well on the piano, have pleasant melodies, and, above all, they are well-proportioned and concise.
