Brahms Dvořák Mae Clemens Schuldt Aleksey Semenenko 2019
Brahms: Concerto Ffidil yn D Dvořák: Symffoni Rhif 9 ‘From the New World’ Mae Brahms a Dvorak yn dod â chariad at y gorffennol a chwilfrydedd am y newydd i weithiau sy’n eu cynrychioli ar eu gorau. Mae concerto Brahms i’r ffidil yn llawn goleuni a chynhesrwydd wrth iddo gael ei ysbrydoli gan haul yr Eidal a’r dawnsfeydd bywiog y bu’n chwarae ynddyn nhw, ac yntau yn ei ugeiniau, gyda’i ffrind o Hwngari a oedd yn chwarae’r ffidil. Ar y llaw arall, mae Dvorak yn cychwyn ar antur orau ei fywyd yn Efrog Newydd, yn mwynhau seiniau newydd America, ond fyth yn anghofio harddwch ei Bohemia annwyl. Mae’r ddau fyd yn cyfoethogi ei symffoni olaf. + sgwrs cyn y sioe gan Dr. Jonathan James, 'Discover More: From protégé to friend - Dvorak and Brahms' Conductor: Clemens Schuldt Violin: Aleksey Semenenko Brahms: Violin Concerto in D Major Dvořák: Symphony No.9 ‘From the New World’ Brahms and Dvorak bring a love of the past and a quest for the new to works that show them at the peak of their powers. Brahms' violin concerto is shot through with light and warmth as the composer is inspired by the Italian sun and hearty dances he played with his Hungarian violinist friend in his twenties. Dvorak, meanwhile, embarks on the greatest adventure of his life in New York, embracing new American sounds while never forgetting the beauty of his beloved Bohemia. His final symphony is enriched by both worlds. + pre-show talk by Dr. Jonathan James, 'Discover More: From protégé to friend - Dvorak and Brahms'
