Pauls Sakss dzimis 1878. gada 14. janvārī Vidzemē, Taurupes pagastā. Sakss dzimis dzirnavnieka ģimenē, kur, klausoties meitu dziedāšanā un puišu instrumentu spēlē, pamanīta nākamā operdziedātāja interese par mūziku, kā arī muzikālā apdāvinātība.[1] Deviņu gadu vecumā Pauls Sakss sācis dziedāt Debesbraukšanas pareizticīgo skolā Rīgā, vēlāk iestājies garīgajā seminārā, kur uzņemts ceturtajā klasē bīskapa korī kā tenors. Pēc mācībām seminārā Pauls Sakss apgūst dziedāšanu pie Pāvula Jurjāna. Paula Saksa pirmā publiskā uzstāšanās datējama ar 1898. gadu, bet pirmais patstāvīgais dziesmu vakars Melngalvju namā noticis 1902. gadā. Mācījies Itālijā, Romas Mūzikas akadēmijā no 1904. līdz 1909. gadam, kur absolvējis Antonio Kotonji un Džovanni Sgambati dziedāšanas klasi. Vokālajā pedagoģijā papildinājies pie Mario Kotonji, Bretšneidera un Bonuči.

This wonderful piece was composed by Giovanni Sgambati for orchestra, but unfortunately the original manuscript was lost. In 2014 Roberto Fiore found in the Biblioteca Casantense of Rome the manuscript of one of its transcription, for violin and piano, composed by Sgambati. So, M°Fiore, after his work on the revision of Nonetto per Archi, of Sgambati too,(pubblished by Sonzogno), decided to transcript this amazing piece for a Strings Orchestra with nine real parts. The Piece is EDITED by Casa Musicale Sonzogno: PARTS AND SCORE ARE AVAILABLE FOR RENT AT SONZOGNO EDITIONS. www.sonzogno.it More informations at: www.robertofiore.it
