Sophie Junker Élisabeth Duparc Duparc Handel Concert Hostel Dieu
Album disponible: (http•••) For the French soprano Élisabeth Duparc, known as “La Francesina”, Handel composed no fewer than twelve principal roles in major works – operas and oratorios – written towards the end of his life. She took the title role in Semele, for instance, and the parts of Michal in Saul and Nitocris in Belshazzar. Sophie Junker and the Concert de l’Hostel Dieu pay tribute to her here through some of her most successful roles as the composer’s muse. / Aparté Music • Website: (http•••) • Newsletter: (http•••) Social Media • Facebook: (http•••) • Instagram: (http•••) • Twitter: (http•••) • YouTube: (http•••) Listen: • Spotify: (http•••) • Apple Music: (http•••) • Deezer: (http•••) • Qobuz: (http•••) • Amazon Music: (http•••) • YouTube Music: (http•••)
Handel Sophie Junker Élisabeth Duparc Duparc Concert Hostel Dieu
—Gabriello Chiabrera Pretty woman, Pour, pour that beautiful wine, make the dew distilled of rubies fall In my heart there is a river of poison that comes from deep love; but I wish to throw it out and leave it submersed in the depths Pretty woman, you cannot satisfy me with wine let fall the drops of dew from the distilled topaz. New flames engulf me and my heart is consumed with a new fire; if you do not help me I will become another Mongibello (volcano). The cooler it becomes, The more I burn constantly It is my fate to be consumed and destroyed in this way. Copyright 2020 Voices of Music
