German born luthier Georg Ullman (Giorgio, 1879-1946) trained in Markneukirchen at the famous workshop of Ernst Reinhold Schmidt. He worked in numerous cities at the workshops of Kurth and Möckel in Berlin, Karel Boromäus Dvorak in Prague, and Eugenio Degani in Venice, before settling in Milan, Italy in 1901. Ullmann established his own business in Milan, while continuing to build instruments for Dvorak, and working as a luthier for the Milan Conservatory. After living briefly in Turin, Ullmann retired to Zurich, Switzerland around 1921. Performance by violinist Eric Silberger. To see all of our current offerings, please visit our website: (http•••)
