Manuel de Falla : Danse Espagnole No.1 from La Vida Breve マヌエル・デ・ファリャ:スペイン舞曲第1番〜歌劇『はかなき人生』より arranged and played by Daisuke Suzuki 編曲&演奏:鈴木大介 guitar : Ignacio Fleta 1964 普段はギター二重奏またはヴァイオリンやチェロとのデュオで演奏されることの多いこの曲ですが、ギター・ソロでの演奏も80年代の終わりから90年代くらいよりいくつもの例が見られます。 僕は留学中に師事していたホアキン・クレルチ先生がこの曲を得意にしていたため、演奏会で何度もその演奏を聴くことができました。僕自身が最初にこの作品を弾いたのはおそらく2008~9年頃のことですが、最近よりシンプルな形に編曲し直しました。 デュオや合奏では、火花の散るような情熱的な表現になりますが、ギター・ソロで弾く時は、ガルシア・ロルカと共にカンテ・ホンドのコンクールを開催したファリャの歌心やポリフォニックな響きの綾に重点を置くようにしています。 この編曲の楽譜は現代ギター誌の2021年4月号に掲載されています。 This Dance is normally played by guitar duo, or duo with violin or cello, but I was accustomed to listen to solo guitar version since I was studying in Salzburg under Maestro Joaquin Clerch who was very famous for the powerful and master arrangement of this piece. I played this at the first time maybe in 2008 or 2009, but this time I re-write the transcription more simple. When we play this piece as duo, it goes very much with sparks and fire. I do also. On the other hand, I chose to express more song-like image or polyphonic resonance for solo guitar version, because Manuel de Falla had held the first Cante Jondo Competition with the poet Garcia Lorca. Music score of this arrangement is on the Gendai Guitar magazine in April 2021. Daisuke Suzuki is known for his rich tone, musical sensitivity and strong feeling for tonal color, supported a masterful technique. Since 1993, beginning with his victory at the Citta de Alessandrea, Concorso Internazionale de Chitarra Classica with Omággio a Andrés Segovia in Italy, Suzuki’s international activities have earned him great recognition both in Japan and abroad. Suzuki is considered the foremost interpreter of the music of Toru Takemitsu, which was acclaimed by The composer who praised his playing, saying, “one rarely has the opportunity to hear a performance like his.” And that gave him an honor to perform in the Saito Kinen Festival’s Toru Takemitsu Memorial Concert (1997), as well as in memorial concerts in 1998~2010. In 1999, he played a recital on the anniversary of Takemitsu’s death in Tokyo Opera City concert hall, ‘Takemitsu Memorial,’ and also performed his guitar concerto, ‘To the edge of dream,’ in 2003. Nowadays many Japanese composers offered him to play premiere of their works and recordings, which also includes guitar concertos. Suzuki has released numerous recordings, including Complete Collection of Guitar Works by Toru Takemitsu (1997). MARIA ROS Nacque ad Alicanteil 16 maggio 1891. Artista precoce- come la Malibran e la Patti – debuttò all’eta di quindici anni in Aida a Castellon de la Plana, presso Valencia, dov’era residente. Voce complessa, estesa, versatile, si cimentò in opere diffeenti per stile, tessitura, carattere: nel Faust sotto la direzione del maestro Vittorio Gui, al teatro San Carlo di Lisbona, si manifestò cantatrice di prim’ordine, nel 1919. Ma ebbe la consacrazione definitiva al “Teatro Real di Madrid”, cantando nel 1921, Rigoletto. Al Colon di Buenos Airessi affermò accanto a Caruso, nei Pagliacci. Nel 1922 a Rio de Janeiro eseguì il Guarany, protagonisti Fleta e Montesanto. Nel Cavaliere della rosa si rivelò cantante-attrice, unitamente a Rosa Raisa e Gilda Dalla Riazza. Accanto al marito, partecipò ad una tournee in tutto il nord di Spagna, interpretando Rigoletto, Faust, Tosca, Pagliacci. A Montecarlo, sotto la direzione del celebre de sabata, suscitò l’entusiastica adesione del pubblico nella Boheme. Gunsbourg, impresario de l’Opera, dichiarò che la Duse, se avesse cantato, non avrebbe modulato con più soave espressione e con timbri puù adeguato l’ultimo atto del capolavoro pucciniano. Sposatasi a Lauri Volpi, troncò la sua ascesa lirica per seguire il marito, sostenerlo, protegggerlo, difenderlo, ispirandolo nei perigliosi cimenti nei massimi teatri. Nel 1940 Maria Ros, perdendo la madrre, perse anche quella voce che, per l’ostinata volontà materna, si era dedicata al melodramma, rinunciando ai successi conseguiti, nella prima gioventù, cantando la zarzuela, genere lirico molto apprezato daal popolo spagnolo ma ignorato all’estero. In memoria dell’artista, ogni anno si celebra il “Concorso Maria Ros de Lauri Volpi” per rivelare nuove voci in questo periodo di decadenza lirica. Valgano questi brevi cenni a lumeggiare la figura di una cantatrice eletta che, per amore, sacrificò un avvenire luminoso nel mondo dell’arte: della piu bella delle Arti! G.L.V.
