Perrin. He completed his vocal training with Charles Nicot and made his debut in 1893 at the Paris Opéra-Comique in ‘’Richard Coeur-de-Lion’’of Grétry. He remained two years at the Opéra-Comique and then sang at the opera houses of Nantes, Nice, Marseille, Bordeaux and Vichy. Guest performances followed in London (Covent Garden. 1897) and Monte Carlo. In the 1896-97 season he performed at the opera house of Nice as a partner of Nellie Melba. In 1897 Scaramberg was in Antwerp where he sang in Wagner’s ‘’Tannhauser’’. In the 1898-99 season he appeared at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. Recruited by Pedro Gailhard, director of the Opéra, who heard him in Bordeaux, Scaramberg made his Palais Garnier debut as Lohengrin in 1903. From 1903 to 1907 he was a member of the Grand Opéra in Paris (beginning role: Lohengrin). Here he appeared among other things in 1905 in an important performance of Gluck’s ‘’Armide’’. Emile Scaramberg - Lakmé - Fantaisie o divin mensonge - Fonotipia 56049 enregistré en 1904 -1905 Émile Scaremberg (26 avril 1863 - 26 février 1938) était un ténor français à la grande réputation, originaire de Besançon. Émile Scaremberg (parfois orthographié Scaramberg) est né le 26 avril 1863 dans la ville de Besançon, en Franche-Comté1. Après avoir fait ses études à Paris, il prit des leçons de chant dans la capitale comtoise avec un ténor connu sous le nom de Perrin et poursuivit ses études avec Charles Nicot (1843–1899)1. Scaremberg fait ses débuts au théâtre national de l'Opéra-Comique en avril 1893 avec la compagnie « Richard Cœur-de-Lion » avec laquelle il restera pendant deux ans1. Il a également commencé à apparaître dans les maisons d'opéra dans les villes de Bordeaux, Lyon (où il chante Werther), Marseille, Nantes, Nice et Vichy et en 1894, il chanta Turiddu à Monte-Carlo. Scaremberg s'est également produit en 1897 à l'hôtel de Besançon-les-Bains, dans Roméo et Juliette, la Favorite ainsi que dans Lakmé. Il participa à de nombreuses interprétations, comme à Londres et en Belgique avant que de soudaines difficultés vocales ne le poussent à revenir à Besançon pour y enseigner le chant. Il décède le 26 février 1938 dans la ville qui l'a vu naître, et fut enterré dans le cimetière des Chaprais.
