Grigory Sokolov plays Beethoven, Scriabin and Arapov. Grigory Sokolov is one of several modern pianists who include contemporary piano masterpieces in their performance programs, which requires a special concentration from both the performer and the audience. What makes this CD particularly interesting is Grigory Sokolov’s recordings of the works by his contemporary, composer Boris Arapov .
